Faiz Ahmad Faiz, the real uncle of Salman Taseer was member of the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) and remained in jail for 5 years in early fifties whereas Salman Taseer was not a communist but he was a highly progressive and democrat politician, who was assassinated for his efforts to provide justice to a Christian woman who was accused of blasphemy. Taseer, after finding the women innocent, raised voice for her release while he was the Governor of Punjab but unfortunately, a religious fundamentalist and his own security guard Mumtaz Qadri killed him brutally in Islamabad three years back….
