Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik, Chairman, Communist Party of Pakistan, has said that the conference announced by the Communist Party to be held at National Press Club Islamabad on Saturday, June 18 to form a Left Alliance has no connection with the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP). The Communist Party of Imdad Qazi Group is a supporter of the military establishment and General Pervez and a fundraiser and a chanda chor party only. In order to participate in the 2013 general elections, the Communist Party of Pakistan registered the Communist Party with the Election Commission of Pakistan under the Political Parties Order, 2002 and was allotted sickle as symbol to contest the elections. Imdad Qazi embezzled millions rupees of the party fund and he also took money from the innocent peoples to send them abroad on behalf of the Communist Party. When such unlawful and dishonest activities of Imdad Qazi came to the notice of the Communist Party of Pakistan, Imdad Qazi was expelled from the Communist Party and the CPP also expressed dissatisfaction with it because someone would manipulate and embezzle funds from the Communist Party and will take money from ignorant people for sending abroad on behalf of the Communist Party of Pakistan. No communist can even imagine this, but unfortunately Imdad Qazi is an expert in this art of dishonesty. The Imdad Qazi Group has only two purposes in organizing this so-called conference in Islamabad. The first is to raise as much money as possible under the pretext of this conference and the second is to pave the way for General Musharraf’s return to Pakistan. While the Communist Party of Pakistan demands from the government and the Supreme Court to carry out the death sentence given to General Musharraf by the Special Tribunal which was given by the head of the Special Tribunal and Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court Waqar Ahmed Sethi on December 17, 2019.
The so-called pro-establishment Communist Party of Imdad Qazi Group has never raised its voice for civil supremacy and true democracy while the Communist Party of Pakistan has always fought for civil supremacy and true democracy but unfortunately our judiciary, military establishment, intelligence agencies and the role of all political and religious parties in Pakistan has been at odds with civil supremacy and true democracy. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Asif Zardari, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Ex- Prime Minister Imran Khan and the present government of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have now adopted a double policy on the pretext of General Musharraf’s illness. Apart from honoring him, the cunning, cowardice and obedience of all these politicians to the military establishment by siding with General Musharraf has now become completely naked and clear which is shameful and reprehensible.
In this regard, on behalf of the Communist Party, the Chairman of the Communist Party, Engineer Jameel, wrote a letter dated May 30 to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and all the other 13 judges in which the Communist Party stated that the overall credibility of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the judiciary, it is not good and in our country, the impression is common among the people that the courts of Pakistan are only for the protection and interests of looters, thieves, drug dealers, occupation groups i.e. qabza group and the aristocracy and the affluent and elite classes. If Supreme Court wants to undo this impression, it must first carry out the death sentence given to General Pervez Musharraf by the Special Tribunal which was given by the head of the Special Tribunal and Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court Waqar Ahmad Sethi on December 17, 2019 and then the Lahore High Court had ruled on January 13, 2020 that the establishment of the Special Tribunal was wrong. It is not a decision based on facts, but it is a clearly wrong decision and it has been decided in favour of Musharraf and this Order in favour of Musharraf was obtained by the Military Establishment from the Lahore High Court by force. Now the Supreme Court should immediately decide which of the two decisions is correct so as to dispel the perception among the people that the Supreme Court has the power to punish not only the politicians but also the generals. It may be recalled that the first constitutional petition to file a treason case against General Pervez Musharraf in the Supreme Court under Article 6 was filed on September 7, 2009 by the Chairman of the Communist Party of Pakistan, Engineer Jameel himself with the titled Communist Party of Pakistan versus Federation of Pakistan etc. and then following the case formally the continuous full bench headed by Mr. Justice Jawad S. Khawaja, Mr. Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Mr. Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan. Appearing on all dates from April 15, 2013 to July 3, 2013 has been following this case and finally on the basis of the Communist Party and many other such petitions, on the order of the Supreme Court dated July 3, 2013, the Government of Pakistan took action against General Pervez Musharraf and trial begun under Article 6 of the Constitution and found him guilty with death sentence. And now my wish and a polite request to the Supreme Court is that the appeal of this case be decided soon so that “Justice must not only be done, but must also be seen to be done”.
