Supreme Court will tomorrow hear the High Treason case of CPP against General Musharraf.
(ATTOCK – April 14, 2013) Supreme Court of Pakistan will tomorrow on Monday hear the High Treason case of the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) filed through its Central Chairman, Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik against General Musharraf and its 481 collaborators
It may be recalled that this case was filed in September 2009 under Article 6 in the Supreme Court by the CPP Chairman.
Communist Party in its petition said that former Chief of Army Staff General Musharraf was not alone, who abrogated and subverted Constitution on unconstitutional emergency of Nov 3 but it includes former President General (Retd) Pervaz Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Governors and Chief Ministers of four provinces, former Speaker Amir Hussain and Chairman Senate Mianmohammed Soomro, 75 former Federal Ministers, 245 former Members of National Assembly, 97 former Senate Members, 65 Judges of Apex and High Courts including former Chief Justice of Pakistan Abdul Hameed Dogar, full three Generals including Musharraf, 12 Corps Commanders, one Major General and sole Brigadier Aasim Salim Bajwa, 5 Chief and Home Secretaries, 5 Inspector Generals and DPO’s, 4 Federal Secretaries, Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada and Malik Muhammed Qayyum.
Besides above named persons, the CPP also cited Director Generals of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) as the Respondents and they are all responsible for abetting and aiding in the abrogation and subversion of Constitution with usurper General Musharraf.
Engineer Jameel in the petition had narrated all those facts and stories in details that how shabby Musharraf and its 481 collaborators disgraced and subverted the Constitution.
This High Treason case, a copy of which is available on the party website www.cpp.net.pk is pending for hearing since September 07, 2009 against General Musharraf was filed in Supreme Court by CPP through its party Central Chairman, Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik under Articles 6 and 184(3) of the Constitution.
