Communist Party of Pakistan Chairman, Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik commented on the sad incident of Fakhara and categorically said “neither Chief Justice of Pakistan nor Government of Pakistan or any Provincial Government is interested to solve the problems of woman. The woman in Muslim society has no right to stand up for their real rights. Even the electronic media is biased towards woman rights and they exploited the issue of Waheeda Shah un-necessary but in case of Fakhara, the whole electronic media would be silent day after tomorrow and would not now play any role in future for a poor woman Fakhara.”
The reason is very obvious. Our Electronic and print media don’t speak against the feudal and influential people like Bilal Khar, who is the son of ex-PPP leader and Governor Ghulam Mustafa Khar and cousin of foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar.
Fakhra was a victim of an acid attack carried out by her husband, Bilal Khar. He had burned her face with acid 12 years ago. With twelve-year fight for justice and recovery, acid attack victim Fakhra commits suicide in Italy.
In her last message before committing suicide, Fakhra had written that she was committing suicide over the silence of law on the atrocities and the insensitivity of Pakistani rulers.
She very rightly said. The only society which provide justice to woman is the Socialist society and none else society and system is capable to do justice with the woman as a class, the CPP Chairman concluded his statements with these remarks.
